Searching for Strength

Today is my wife’s birthday. I won’t tell you which one, because I’m no fool!

As some of you know if you are on our mailing list, she has had a rough year. She nearly died while being treated for a rare ailment. She spent three months at Boston Medical Center and then an additional two weeks at a hospital in Virginia. Through it all, she never complained, never asked, “Why me?”

She has recently begun sharing with a few friends an incredible experience she had with the Lord while in a drug-induced coma. It is pretty amazing, but not surprising. There is someone on the other side, who occupies a place outside of time and space. We should not be surprised when, like Elisha and his young aide, we are given a peek into eternity. Such things deepen and strengthen our faith.

Speaking of strengthening our faith, I am often asked about my resources. One is a small ministry called Searching Together. It provides biblically-based information and positions on contemporary matters without an agenda. I highly recommend it. You can see for yourself at searchingtogether.org. I support them and I think they are also worthy of your support.
