Michael Lawrence has five children and began his ministry at Hinson Baptist Church in September 2010. Michael came to faith at an early age, but never understood that the Christian life was more than salvation until he was introduced to the InterVarsity campus ministry at Duke University. After marrying Adrienne in 1990, Michael earned his M.Div. degree at Gordon-Conwell, and then his PhD from Cambridge University in 2002. He previously served as associate pastor at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., for over 8 years.
