- Published May 17, 2021
American Idol contestant David Archuleta leads us in worship with this soul-stirring rendition of ‘Old Church Choir’ from Zach Williams. He’s even joined by a real choir for this incredible performance full of praise for our King.
“I've got an Old Church Choir singing in my soul,
I've got a sweet salvation and it's beautiful,
I've got a heart overflowing 'cause I've been restored,
There ain't nothing gonna steal my joy,
No there ain't nothing gonna steal my joy”
We first met David Archuleta when he rose to fame as a contestant on the seventh season of American Idol. David was just 16 years old when he placed second in the competition. Since that time, he’s continued to entertain with popular songs such as ‘Crush’ and covers of ‘The Prayer’ and ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.’
Today, he’s performing with Millennial® Choirs & Orchestras for this incredible rendition of ‘Old Church Choir.’
“Can you hear it? Can you feel it?
It's the rhythm of a gospel song,
Oh once you choose it, you can't lose it,
There ain't nothing, there ain't nothing gonna steal my joy"
From the sounds to sights, there is no doubt that this performance is full of love for God. What a beautiful way to praise His Holy Name.
Revelation 14:7 “And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
