Kids' Shows You Can Trust

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.” (Isaiah 54:13 NKJV)

A few days ago, I came across a tv program that explores the disconcerting reality of children violently assaulting their parents. Some parents are even so gripped with fear that they worry about their safety.

If we were to consider the type of shows and movies these children grew up in, we should not be surprised if they displayed such repulsive and violent tendencies towards their parents.

“A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.” (Proverbs 10:1 NIV)

Evidently, the inclination towards violence in children cannot be solely attributed to the nature of the shows they are exposed to. There are also other factors at play that shape kids’ behavior. Nonetheless, we cannot ignore how the misguided values that movies and shows propagate can wield a considerable influence on children’s conduct and mental well-being.

Morally Deviant Shows Unsuitable for Kids

Kids’ shows that glorify aggressive behavior and advocate unsound morals foster in children a propensity for severe physical aggression. Thus, the increase in inappropriate shows and movies being broadcasted in households brings about adverse effects on children’s upbringing.

The notion of home–once considered the sacred space where children's moral foundation was nurtured and their innocence preserved–has undergone adverse changes due to the escalating moral decline in the entertainment industry and our society as a whole.

Nonetheless, despite knowing the disastrous effects these morally deviant ideologies and revolting scenes in movies have on our children’s well-being, nothing much has been done to address the problem. Worse, such aberrant behavior and beliefs seen only in films are now insidiously infiltrating shows intended for young audiences.

A burgeoning trend that ought to raise significant concern from everyone.

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6 NIV)

Thus, parents bear a crucial responsibility in selecting the kind of shows they introduce to children. Especially now that the woke movement is using cartoons to indoctrinate children with their progressive values. These are perverted beliefs and behaviors that run contrary to the Christian faith.

Thankfully, there are still kids' shows and movies that promote traditional Christian values despite the proliferation of left-wing and progressive entertainment channels in mainstream media.

Children's Shows That Don’t Indoctrinate Children with Woke Cartoons

Superbook

I enjoyed watching Superbook as a kid. The show is a classic Christian anime series from the early 1980s that brings to life biblical stories as they happened in the ancient past.

The anime series talks about a boy named Chris Peeper who chanced upon a talking Bible book aptly named Superbook. This ancient Book can bring Chris and his friend back to the days of old, reliving the exact events narrated in the Bible.

Tatsunoko Productions in tandem with the Christian Broadcasting Network created and produced the series to spread the gospel to the people of Japan.

“The series has now been broadcast in over 100 countries, translated into over 60 languages, and viewed by over 500 million people.” –Superbook Academy

The Tuttle Twins

This animated series promotes and celebrates traditional Christian values. The Tuttle Twins narrates the adventures of Ethan and Emily Tuttle as they learn about history and freedom from their Cuban grandmother, who is bound to a time-traveling wheelchair. The Tuttle Twins is also available in book series, a great way to keep children off the screen.

Hear from the creator of The Tuttle Twins, Connor Boyack:

Bluey

Bluey’s captivating storytelling keeps young minds delightfully enthralled, skillfully weaving stories that will never bore your kids. The series captures the profound connections and affection within families as it celebrates old-fashioned family ethics, empowering children to embrace conservative values.

The Wingfeather Saga

A fantasy adventure series written by Christian singer-songwriter, Andrew Peterson.

The animated series centers on the triumph of good over evil, the pursuit of justice, and the embrace of all that is good. It showcases the merits of traditional moral values and ethical principles that children can emulate. The series is also available in book form. It is praised for its positive contribution to Christian fiction, providing its young readers with powerful lessons about performing acts of kindness and taking a firm stance against evil.

The Beverlys

A kids’ series produced by PureFlix that’s known for its Christian-based programming for children. CEO Michael Scott stressed that the series exudes a Disney vibe sans the offensive ideologies espoused by the entertainment company.

God Hold Parents Accountable

May the following serve as a warning to us all:

If we fail to protect our children from content that promotes aberrant values and behavior, we are then unwittingly relinquishing our God-given role of shaping the character of our children to the wicked one.

Let us be reminded of the sacred duty of every parent:

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7 NKJV)

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 KJV)

Children are a heritage from the Lord; let us then make every effort to protect them from negative influences, leading them gently along the path of righteous living.
