The Present of His Presence - Beloved Women - December 25, 2019

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Every Christmas my husband and I put in the effort, time and money (of course) to find the most thoughtful and fun Christmas gifts for our two children. Still, it never fails that eventually, they end up playing with the boxes. I understand that the boxes are fun, but the value and thought is what’s in the box.
I hope that as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ today, we don’t miss His true value. I pray we don’t get so caught up in the surface level and superficial details, that we miss the true gift that today represents. Today we honor the birth of our Savior. He is our wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace! His presence is our greatest present.
Take time today to reflect on the love God shows to us. We did not have to work our way up to Him, but He came down to us in the form of a baby. Now we have the blessed opportunity to know Him and His amazing love.
PRAY
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for your wonderful Son! We celebrate Him today and every day and thank You for the saving grace His presence brings to all believers. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
