Making Quality Time for God - Beloved Women - December 27, 2019

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
With four grown sons, it’s difficult for our family to spend time all together. One of our sons used to live out west and we didn’t see him much. During Christmas, work and school schedules permitted us just one night all together, seeing Christmas lights at a nearby farm. When we got to the farm, they were closing. My uncontrollable tears fell. This was my one wish for Christmas. God reminded me that He loves us so much, more than we love our families.
Yes, I had walked with the Lord every day, but had not lingered for that heart-changing quality time. He longs to spend time connecting our hearts to His. The hurt that I could not contain is what Jesus feels, magnified, as He longs for time with us. With this revelation, again my involuntary tears began to flow, as I poured out my apology to the One who loves me most of all. I encourage you today to make time for the God that longs to connect with you.
PRAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for the love You continuously shower on me. Help me to see the things that are keeping me from having quality time with You. Give my heart a longing for You Lord above all else. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
