You Belong to God – Beloved Women – January 15, 2019

Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. – Psalm 100:3 ESV

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

Have you ever felt lost in a gathering of people who know you? Ever felt like no one really sees or understands you? In those moments, it’s easy to believe you don’t matter.

Maybe you often feel out of place, like you don’t belong anywhere making it hard to be around people or attend social functions. This was my story for a long time. But I thank God our story doesn’t end here!

You belong to the One who made the heavens and the earth, the One who knows the end from the beginning. You were created for God’s purpose, and pleasure and He loves you unconditionally. Let that sink in for a moment.

God loves every aspect of who you are and this means:

·      Your identity is in God not what people say about you.

·      You are God’s daughter; you belong to him.

·      You are more than your past mistakes and regrets.

PRAY

Lord God, thank You for loving me even in the moments when I feel lost and forgotten. Thank You for reminding me that I am yours and will always be yours. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray. Amen.

Take a moment and think about what it means to be a child of God.
