The Power of Connection - Beloved Women - January 27, 2020
READ: “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT:
One day my coworker asked if she could charge her phone at my desk. As I took her phone and tried to plug it into the power cord while she walked away, I realized I had an iPhone charger and her phone was an Android. I called her back to my desk to let her know her phone wouldn’t charge because I didn’t have the right power cord. She thanked me for trying and went about her way.
I started thinking about how we sometimes connect to the wrong people or things that will drain the very life out of us. If we would truly be honest, we have at one time or another created little god's out of them as we have looked to them to be the source to fuel the fire that God placed on the inside of us.
Where you are going has a lot to do with what you are connected to. Whether it is people, your job, your church, etc. Being connected to the RIGHT people and things is very important as they are part of pushing you further into your destiny; however, they aren't to replace your relationship and connection to Jesus Christ.
PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, I am grateful for the connection that I have with You. I know that apart from You I am nothing. As I draw closer to You, please draw closer to me. If I ever stray from Your presence please draw me back to Your side. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
