My Only Hope is in You – Beloved Women – June 2, 2023

“And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.” - Psalm 39:7 NLT
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Have you ever asked a question and then answered your own question? Many times, when I am in the middle of a chaotic situation and at the end of my resources, I ask myself questions such as, “What are you going to do?” and “Will you give in to self-pity and despair or trust God?”
I am encouraged by David’s example, in Psalm 39:7. When he faced a tough situation, rather than embrace despair, he affirmed his hope in God. He reflected on God’s faithful character and trusted God with his present circumstances.
Remembering God’s faithfulness in the past motivates us to trust, that if He did it then, He will do it again. Placing our hope in God anchors our souls to his strong and trustworthy character.
PRAY
Dear Father, you are my hope. Thank you, that I can trust your character. Thank you for putting your hope in my spirit and your praise on my lips. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
