Fearfully and Wonderfully Made - Beloved Women - May 16, 2024
READ: “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” (Psalm 139:14 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: I find it comical how easily I can get derailed from the truth of this Psalm. It’s amazing how efficient the enemy is. Doubt to your calling, disbelief in your ability, or something as simple as not believing God could use someone like you or me. I’d like to say that this only happens to me on big and important aspects of my life, but then I’d be lying.
Even at my age, it can also sneak up on superficial aspects - a passing comment from years ago about appearance will still pop up in my memories, almost like Satan has a collection of Facebook memories of mean, unintentional or not, comments from our past ready to go on a daily basis, in an attempt to pull us away from what God has called us to focus on.
But no matter if it’s feeling unqualified in career, relationships, appearance, or anything else, this truth written in the Psalms is one we can hold on to. Do you think God would waste anything that is fearfully and wonderfully made? He doesn’t!
And He’s ready to use those who call on Him. Wonderful are His works and when we trust in the truth He speaks to us, He can do amazing things through us!
PRAY: Lord, I am fearfully and wonderfully made! Thank you for reminding me of this truth today. The enemy has no hold on me because You are with me. Thank you Father. In Jesus’ Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
REFLECT: Think of ways you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Search out more scriptures on this truth and read them throughout this next week.
