Mike Huckabee: We are Moving Rapidly Toward Criminalization of Christianity
Mike Huckabee announced his presidential run Tuesday (May 5). The Republican candidate is not shy about his Christian faith and said in a recent conference call that the United States is “moving rapidly toward the criminalization of Christianity.”
Though the statement was criticized by liberals, Huckabee said at the Faith and Freedom gathering that he stands by his words.
"Let me be clear tonight: I'm not backing off because what I'm saying is true," he said.
Charisma News reports Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker expressed a similar view of Christianity in the U.S.
"We should be standing up for religious freedom," he said at the event held on Saturday (May 2). "In America, we should be the shining star that says you should be able to practice your religion."
