Hands-On Faith – Week of August 3
Hands-on Faith for Families – Week of August 3, 2020
Theme: God Works Even When We Can’t See Him
Things We Can’t See
Scripture: “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1).
Play: Before you get in the car to go somewhere, tell your kids to list familiar landmarks (grocery store, park, school) that you’ll see as you drive. Then, as you’re driving, ask them to point out each thing when they see it. Who sees each landmark first?
Talk: It’s easy to believe something is there when we see it. Some things we can’t see, but they’re just as real. Jesus talked about things we can’t see now, such as heaven and God. The Bible says that faith is being sure that something exists even when we can’t see it (Hebrews 11:1). How can we help our faith grow?
Pray: Ask God for more faith even though you can't always see what He's promised.
