Hands-on Faith for Families – Week of November 1, 2021

Theme: Show God’s Character in Your Life

Obey God

Scripture: …but My righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. (Hebrews 10:38, 39)

Play: Instruct your kids to shut their eyes. Then ask them to open their mouths to taste something you will give them. Notice whether your children readily follow your instructions or ask questions first.

Talk: Sometimes it can be hard to follow commands, but the Bible says those who live by faith don’t shrink back (Hebrews 10:38, 39). That means when God asks us to do something, we should listen to what He is asking us to do and try our best to obey. What could you do when you find it hard to obey?

Pray: Ask God to give you a faithful, obedient heart.
