He Hopes You’ll Let Your Guard Down   

MARCH 9

Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23

The Bible warns, “keep your heart with all diligence.” You must have the breastplate of righteousness covering your heart. We’re told not to provide room for the devil or give him an opportunity (Ephesians 4:27). He’s watching—searching—waiting for any crack in your armor. 

Wouldn't it be awful to be dressed head to foot with all of the armor except for one little crack where the devil slips the knife in? A little poem I heard says it this way: 

“Who is it knocks so loud?” 

“A lonely little sin.” 

“Slip through,” I answered.

And soon all hell was in. 

“A lonely little sin.” Check your attitudes, your actions. Examine your ambitions and motives. Are there any that aren’t absolutely pure? Cleanse them and get them right. If you don’t, you’re a sitting duck for Satan.
