Time with God - August 4, 2017
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
God is able to give you a life where you always have enough of what you need, and even more than enough for every good thing that he calls you to do!
Maybe as you read that, you are thinking, “I know that God is ABLE to give me that kind of life, but I have trouble thinking that he WILL do it”. What would move God from being able to being willing?
This verse comes in the middle of a passage where God is challenging the Corinthians to align their lives and their finances with his purposes. He is calling them to sacrificial giving. God’s message to them and to us today is that when we give God our lives and invite him to lead us however he wishes, then he takes responsibility for our lives.
And God takes that responsibility very seriously. He not only will meet your needs, giving you “all sufficiency in all things”, but he will also give you enough so that “you may abound [more than enough] in every good deed”.
God will always supply you with what you need to carry out his purpose for you. Have you been hesitating to give your spending and giving to God and allow him to lead you? Trust him with everything!
