Time with God - June 7, 2017
“The Samaritan woman said to him, ‘How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?’ (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.’”
God wants you to have the living water that only he can give!
Jesus had such a way of breaking all of society’s barriers with his words to people. He didn’t let his loving words be swayed by the culture. He was real to everyone. He had a word for this specific woman and wanted her to know it.
There are people in your life that God wants to reach out to in love. There is no better way to love people than with a gentle word of truth. What Jesus was offering could change this woman’s life forever. Nothing was worth standing in the way.
What do you allow to stand in the way of showing others the living water God has given to you? Your loving word could change that person’s life forever. Don’t allow another day to go by without expressing love to those you care about. What Jesus offered the woman at the well is still being offered today. Let it be known.
