Matthew 17:1-5

Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, “Let me take the speck out of your eye,” and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Be more concerned about doing what you know God wants YOU to do than you are about making sure other people do what you think they should do!

This doesn’t mean that you never talk to someone about a destructive habit you see in his or her life, but it does mean that you are always open to being corrected about things in your life.

It also means that when something is obviously wrong and needs attention in your life, you don’t just pretend it isn’t there and keep on going, hoping it will all turn out okay in the end.

No, if you know something needs to be dealt with, the Lord wants you to stop ignoring it and begin dealing with it.
