Hebrews 2:18

Therefore, He [Jesus] had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

Jesus is able to help you resist temptation!

Some people believe that there’s a God up there somewhere. But in their minds, He’s just watching to see what happens. He knows that we struggle deeply with temptation; He wants us to do the right thing; but He doesn’t really understand what it is like to face the temptations we face; He is just an outside observer.

But Jesus wants you to know that He, as God, knows! He didn’t remain outside our world and just observe it; He became a part of it! He became a man, fully human. He experienced all the agony of life in a fallen world. People hated Him, hurt Him both physically and emotionally; He got tired and hungry; Satan tempted Him to do the wrong thing time and again.

But He came through it all without sinning even once. And today He wants you to know that if you will allow Him to live His life through You, He can help you overcome temptation too.
