Time with God - Oct. 2, 2012
Ephesians 5:13-17 (again)
But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Use your time to accomplish God’s will for you!
Sometimes our lives get used up by our job, and the leftover time we spend watching TV or getting on the Internet. We use our time like this, not because we want to waste it, but because there is nothing motivating us to use it another way.
If you get an opportunity to use your time on something you are passionate about, you will never spend it just watching TV instead. So get passionate about God and what He wants to do through you!
How would you use your time differently if you always first asked yourself, “How would God like me to use my time right now?” There will be times when God wants you to kick back and rest or have fun with friends. And there will be times when He wants you to spend some time with Him, or equipping yourself for ministry.
How do you need to respond to God?
