Give Me a Drink
"Give Me a drink."
Jesus said that. He was thirsty after walking on a very long journey during the heat of the day. Around noon, He came to a well in a town named Sychar. Jacob's well was located in that ancient place. Tired and hot, Jesus sat down by that well. Soon, a woman came to that same well. Seeing that she was drawing water, He asked her if she would give Him a drink. This happened in an area known as Samaria—a region where Jews seldom went. She was shocked that He would even speak to her. This led to a dialogue that was so significant, John recorded it in the fourth gospel account, the one that bears his name—John 4:1–30.

Finally, take the time to answer these two questions:
As essential as water is to our well-being, it does not permanently quench our thirst. We will always want and need more—a lot more. But the water Jesus offers not only brings momentary satisfaction, it brings satisfaction forever.
Maybe it's time for you to say to Jesus what He said to that woman: give me a drink.
