Endurance Finds Favor with God
by Charles R. Swindoll
Those . . . who suffer according
to the will of God shall entrust their souls
to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.
1 Peter 4:19
If you are a hard-working, faithful employee, diligent, honest, productive, prompt, caring, working for a boss who is belligerent, stubborn, shortsighted, and ungrateful, and if you patiently endure that situation—that finds favor with God.
When you endure, you put grace on display. And when you put grace on display for the glory of God, you could revolutionize your workplace or any other situation.
The purpose of the believer in society is to bring glory and honor to the name of Christ, not to be treated well or to have life be easy or even to be happy, as wonderful as all those things are.
Why are these things happening to you? So that you might follow in the steps of our Lord Jesus, who suffered for us.
