A Windsock Has Limits - Warrior Mom Wisdom - Week of January 24

Warrior Mom Wisdom Devotional

 A WINDSOCK HAS LIMITS

As God was expanding the lesson of the wind and the windsock for me, He showed me one day that the windsock does have limits. It is confined to the material that represents its existence.

In what ways are we confined as windsocks? Well, we are spirits that dwell in physical bodies on earth for a very brief time. This is true. God wants to teach us something much deeper than this, however. He knows we know we are limited.

Here’s what God said to me when I acknowledged the confines of the windsock:

God said, “Yes, very good. There are physical limits that you experience because your spirit does live in a physical body on earth; however, I want you to learn that your thoughts and your faith are part of the spiritual realm and you can learn to exits in the limitlessness of My will in these areas. When you learn to think past doubt and pray past what you see and feel and think you know, there is power, limitless powerful Grace that never changes (it always stays the same in its never-ending expanse of existence). But, it always awaits to intersect with the level of faith that I am calling out within you in order that it would rise up and flow through you to others!”

Immediately, I saw a vision of a powerful wind flowing through the windsock. The wind became so beautifully strong that it disintegrated the material of the windsock. I saw colors of the windsock become like dust and as they became like dust, they joined the wind flowing through it until the wind sock was gone! All that was left was a powerful wind! The windsock became the wind. It was free. It was no longer bound.

God showed me that our thoughts and prayers can become as limitless as the disintegrated windsock. I want my prayers to be so huge and so full of possibilities for me and others that I am not bound by myself, the world, and what I think I know of my circumstances. Don’t you want that kind of faith and that kind of prayer life? Ask God to take the figuratively confining windsock of your prayers and cause every particle of its existence to join the wind of His Will!
