10 Christian Podcasts to Listen to in 2024

When I am washing a sink full of dishes, running my kids around town for their activities, or taking a long walk, one of my favorite ways to learn and grow as a believer is by listening to Christian podcasts. It’s amazing that we can hear the stories of other believers, learn from pastors and brilliant theologians, and gain insight into ministries so easily through podcasts.
One of the best gifts of technology that we can utilize is more access to wisdom, scholarly information, and real-life accounts of how God is at work in our world. These stories help to build our faith. Listening can guide us as we strive to learn more about who God is and what his will is for our lives.
Personally, in this busy season of my life, as a mother of five kids ages 11 and under, the chance to sit and read is a rarity. Podcasts are a chance for me to learn while cleaning, momming, exercising, driving, and more. I find that God is still willing to speak to my heart even while I am simultaneously serving my family. Here are a few of my favorite listens that I love to dive into whenever my circumstances allow:
The Bible Project Podcast
The Bible Project Podcast’s hosts, Tim and Jon, study biblical theology. Their conversations tackle some of the most detailed nuances of the biblical narrative and help us peel back the layers of the text to see it more clearly. It’s incredible to listen along as they wrestle with the text, but always take time to point everything in the biblical story back to our great hope in Jesus. I personally have learned so much from their storytelling, and they are my first pick when I have a few spare moments for podcast listening.
Crosswalk Devotional Podcast
If you are looking for a quick scripture and devotional to start or end your day with, the Crosswalk Devotional Podcast is a great place to start. You can follow along by date or topic. It’s a chance to hear how God’s Word has resonated in the hearts of other believers and apply that truth to your own life.
The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey
I am an original Jamie Ivey fan girl! I’ve been listening to her podcast for years and have been so proud to watch her consistently deliver hope, grace, and truth to her audience. I love that she isn’t afraid to tackle some of the tougher issues facing the church right now, such as how we grapple with race relations, homosexuality, anxiety, depression, trauma, and so much more! She makes a point of interviewing Christian leaders from diverse backgrounds and gives them a chance to share what God is doing in their lives. Every episode is encouraging and points us back to God.
She Reads Truth Podcast
She Reads Truth is another chance to listen along as Christian leaders open God’s Word in order to learn and grow! This podcast is a great reminder of the beauty that is just waiting to be found in God’s Word. You can find episodes that bring insight into all the different sections of the Bible. This is a great resource to enhance your own bible study.
How to Study the Bible with Nicole Unice
Nicole Unice is an incredible author and speaker! She uses those gifts to deliver a practical guide for how to study God’s Word. She walks the listener through the Bible using her Alive Method of Bible Study, helping us to meet God through his Word. This is a great podcast to help jump-start your New Year's bible study habit.
The Faith Adjacent Podcast
If you like a little humor mixed in with your Bible study, the Faith Adjacent podcast is for you. Knox, Jamie, and Erin, who host the show, are a wonderful comedic team. They don’t skip on the content, though. Erin, the resident Bible Scholar, helps to keep them on track. If you are interested in how topics, peoples, or ideas connect to faith, they have lots of episodes that explore how things that we might consider “faith adjacent” interact with our Christian beliefs.
Theology in the Raw Podcast
Preston Sprinkle is an incredible leader in the faith community. In his podcast, he takes a look at what the Bible is really saying, and he lets the text challenge us. He does not shy away from tough conversations and helps give us a safe space to explore our own questions about the Bible as we listen to his podcast.
Teach Us to Pray with Christina Patterson
Teach Us to Pray gives listeners practical, real-life tips on how to grow your faith and relationship with God through the power of prayer. Each episode helps us to see how prayer can be a powerful tool to help us connect to God through different life circumstances. You can search episodes by topic and dive into a conversation that will encourage you wherever you find yourself right now!
The Forgotten Initiative Podcast
If you want to be challenged, informed, and inspired, check out the Forgotten Initiative! It’s a space where believers can learn about the foster care crisis, adoption, and more. I love that they offer the perspectives of advocates, adoptees, those who have been in foster care, Christian leaders, adoptive and foster parents, and more. If you are interested in how to learn more about this pressing issue, this podcast is for you!
Real Relationship Talk with Dana Che
Marriage can be tough! We all need encouragement and reminders that it’s God that holds us together. Real Relationship Talk is a podcast that discusses how we can best handle the struggles we face in our marriages from a biblical perspective. Dana Che is a marriage coach and offers us honest, inspirational, and real advice we can apply in our homes.
Take time to be encouraged during the week, as well as learn and grow in your understanding of God’s Word through these quality podcasts. It’s such a gift that we have so many opportunities to increase our knowledge of who God is through technology.
