God Knows Where You Are

God Knows Where You Are

Sometimes it gets hard when you can’t see what God is doing. Would you agree? It’s that feeling that maybe He has forgotten about you. Or the sunk feeling in your spirit or the doubting question, “Will it ever happen?” Or the heartfelt cry, “Lord, help me to endure, until you move.”  Have you ever felt this way before? And have you ever asked yourself, “Does God know where I am?”

Well, I can assure you, that He knows exactly where you are. And me for that fact! He knows what you’re feeling, thinking, saying, crying, and worrying about. And He cares. But He wants you to come to Him and talk to Him about where you are. He already knows how you feel and what you’ve been thinking and saying, but He wants you to bring it to Him and keep the relationship and dialogue open.

Personally, I just had a heart-to-heart talk with God the other night. And as I looked into the open night sky, I knew He was there, even though He felt so distant. But I just talked to Him. I poured out my heart to Him about where I was. And later, He showed me that He was right there listening. He confirmed it to me through His word that He knows where I am. He has not forgotten about me. He’s just still at work.

Even Jesus talked to God when He was struggling with accepting the process of the cross and dying for us (God’s will for His life) in the Garden of Gethsemane. He also had a moment when He thought His Father forgot about Him. He said these words as He hung on the cross, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46) He thought God had forgotten about Him in His suffering. But He had not forgotten about His only begotten Son. He just wasn’t finished the work yet.

And that’s the same way it is for you. He’s just not finished the work yet. Remember, we are the clay and He is the potter. (Ref. Isaiah 64:8) God has not forgotten you. He’s just still working out the whole plan. And in the end it will be sooooooo worth it all! Jesus is our great example of that! God is faithful to fulfill His promises! Don’t forget, He raised Jesus from the dead and now He LIVES! Hallelujah!!!

Hebrews 12:1-2 encourages us, “…And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” (NLT) ENDURE sis!

He wants you to open your heart to Him. Let Him search you like David in the Bible did when he said, “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!” Psalm 139:1-6 (NLT)

With that being said, I may not know where you are. You may not know where you are. But God knows exactly where you are. He is Omniscient. Which means that He’s “All knowing.” He knows everything that you’re going through and everything that you WILL go through in the future. So the next step is to lay back and trust Him. He will guide you, comfort you, strengthen you, and be there for you when you need Him.

Just hold on and pick your head up, sis. And as I stated in one of my recent Facebook posts, “Trusting God is not easy…but its best. Don’t give up! Encourage yourself in the Lord. He’s just working behind scenes.” Let’s believe that with everything within us! Amen! ;-)

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
