Clinging to Faith in the Midst of Tragedy

As I watched the TV coverage of the tornado that struck Moore, Oklahoma, I couldn't help but be impressed by the interviews.
People kept bringing up God and prayer and Jesus Christ. In the midst of tragedy, they clung to their faith. But they weren't bitter clingers. Through tears over the loss of at least 24 people, including children, along with many homes and possessions, they still thanked God for preserving their lives and those of their children. They offered prayers for those who weren't as fortunate.
There will be some who blame God for this. No one can adequately explain such tragedy, or how God works in the midst of it. But those of us who believe in Him and know His nature is good believe He works out all things for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. It's hard to understand when it's your child, or spouse, or when you've lost everything.
But listen to those who survived. They still believe. That's faith.
