The United States Army Cadet Command Edition of The Leader's Bible and The Military Bible by United States Military Chaplains was just re-released last week. It includes a portrait of and prayer by President-elect Donald J. Trump, according to The Christian News Wire. The soon-to-be-inaugurated 47th president didn't officially endorse this particular Bible, but quite a few Christian leaders did, according to the Military Bible Association website.
A few on the list of many include:
Rob E. Noland, M.A., M.Div., M.R.E, M.S.S. Chaplain (COL), USAR (Ret) of International Church of the Foursquare Gospel
John B. Porter, Ph.D. Chaplain (COLONEL) USA (Ret.) of the Southern Baptist Convention
Robert A. Berg, Ph.D. Professor of New Testament Evangel University and associated with the General Council of the Assemblies of God
Jim Ammerman, Th.D. Chaplain (COLONEL) USA, (Ret.) and Founding President, Chaplaincy of Full Gospel Churches
Jonathan M. Watt, PhD. Adjunct Faculty, Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary and Associate Professor of Biblical Studies, Geneva College
Celebrating Religious Freedom
The Bibles are available on Amazon and are being re-released because The Military Bible Association believes that President-elect Trump and these military chaplains stand for freedom of religion, free speech, the right to bear arms, and personal liberty.
The organization is thrilled about Trump's landslide victory, and its board of directors sees the re-release of the Bibles as a way to celebrate the return of freedom of religion to America, as well as an anticipated Golden Age in America.
"Freedom of religion is the basis of all freedom. Freedom of religion means one has the freedom to say what he believes and do what he believes is right," said MBA President and Chaplain Major James F. Linzey, USA (Ret.)
Contents of the Bibles
He went on to note that the Bibles include quotes from the Founding Fathers and US Presidents in connection to religious freedom, God, Jesus Christ, and the right to bear arms.
"We would like every American to buy one of these fine military Bibles, to be enriched by the leadership tools and prayers and quotes on religious freedom," said MBA Vice-President Don Biadog. He is also a former Command Chaplain with MCAS Miramar, former home of Top Gun.
The translators represent forty-seven different denominations, are American and English translators, and work in great Christian unity and cooperation. Each translator has a personal relationship with Jesus.
The Military Bible Association was started in 2007 at Fort Dix, New Jersey, by Chaplain (MAJOR) James F. Linzey, USA (now retired). According to the website, his last tour of duty included nearly 24 years of exemplary service as a military chaplain.
The Military Bible Association is a non-profit, non-denominational religious organization with a mission to provide spiritual support to the United States Armed Forces through the Word of God.
The Military Bible Association's vision is to provide Bibles to every chaplain, military member, prisoner, trucker, police officer, and firefighter who requests one.
