New York Yankees player Aaron Judge and Los Angeles Dodgers player Cody Bellinger have both been chosen to receive Rookie of the Year awards.
According to CBN News, both of these baseball players are men of faith. Both Judge and Bellinger were a huge part of helping their respective teams make it to the postseason. Judge received the Rookie of the Year award for the American League, while Bellinger received the same award for the National League.
Judge had a record 52 home runs on the season, while Bellinger hit 39.
Judge has often spoken out about his faith and how thankful he is to have been raised by Godly parents.
"I feel they kind of picked me,'' Aaron told The New York Post in 2015. "I feel that God was the one that matched us together.''
"Some kids grow in their mom's stomach; I grew in my mom's heart,'' he continued. "She's always showed me love and compassion ever since I was a little baby. I've never needed to think differently or wonder about anything.''
"Words can't describe how proud of him we are," said Aaron's father Wayne in the middle of the 2017 baseball season. "If it happens to end tomorrow, he's the type of kid who will say, 'It was meant to be' and move on."
Bellinger also comes from a faith-filled home. "God, family, friends, fashion, good food and music.... and all about the baseball life, wife, and mom," reads the Twitter bio of Cody Bellinger’s mom, Jennifer.
During the 2017 baseball postseason, Jennifer Bellinger also frequently tweeted out encouraging Bible verses.
