A Delta Air Lines regional jet crashed during landing at the Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday afternoon. According to Canadian officials, the crash left multiple passengers injured, as reported by Fox News. The incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. local time and involved a CRJ-900 aircraft operated by Endeavor Air that had departed from Minneapolis.
Images from the scene show the aircraft overturned and heavily damaged on a snow-covered runway. Paramedics confirmed at least eight injuries. One person is in critical condition, while the other injuries range from mild to moderate, Reuters reported.

Peel Regional Police have launched an investigation into the crash.
Toronto Pearson International Airport confirmed the crash in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), assuring the public that emergency teams had responded swiftly.
"Toronto Pearson is aware of an incident upon landing involving a Delta Air Lines plane arriving from Minneapolis," the airport wrote. "Emergency teams are responding."

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also issued a statement confirming that all 80 passengers and crew were safely evacuated. "Delta Air Lines Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport. All 80 people on board were evacuated," the FAA said.
Delta Air Lines also acknowledged the incident, stating that it is actively working to gather more details.
"Delta is aware of reports of Endeavor Flight 4819 operating from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Toronto Pearson International Airport as involved in an incident," the airline said in a statement on its website. "We are working to confirm any details and will share the most current information on news.delta.com as soon as it becomes available."
