Candace Cameron Bure Believes ‘God Is Up to Something Big’ in the World

Filmmaker and actress Candace Cameron Bure says she believes God is on the move worldwide ahead of a livestream "Gather 25" event that will bring the global church together for worship.

"Do you feel like God is up to something big? Because I do. I believe He is," Bure said in a video posted to her Instagram feed this week.

Gather25 is a 25-hour global broadcast from Feb. 28-March 1, uniting Christians from more than 10,000 locations across 188 countries for what's being called a historic gathering of the global church. In the United States, it kicks off at 8 p.m. Eastern Feb. 28 and will be available online at Gather25.com, as well as on TBN and the YouVersion Bible app. The broadcast is free.

"It's unlike anything we have ever experienced before," Bure said, explaining that for 25 hours, the global church "will come together in prayer, in worship, in repentance and in mission."

"Imagine the largest gathering of believers the world has ever seen, gathering and watching all around the world for something truly historic. I am so in. I hope you are in," she said.

"Let's watch how God moves in this incredible moment in time."

Gather25 will feature Francis Chan, Matt Redman, Christine Caine, Priscilla Shirer, John Mark Comer, Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes, Lui Ponifasio, Sadie Robertson Huff, Tim Godfrey, Louie Giglio, and Darlene Zschech, among others.

Author and speaker Jennie Allen is the visionary behind it.

"Our ultimate goal is that everybody, everywhere would know Jesus and know the gospel, and that out of this event, they will live more on mission," Allen told Crosswalk Headlines. "... And it's just such a moment for the global church. This has never been possible in history since Pentecost because of languages and language barriers. But because of AI, we are able to live translate into 80 languages."
