‘Duck Dynasty’ Is Returning to TV with ‘Duck Dynasty: Revival’
One of America’s beloved family-centered series is returning to television. Seven years after Duck Dynasty aired its final season, a new series, Duck Dynasty: Revival, is set to debut this summer, reconnecting viewers with the Robertson family as they share what’s unfolded in the years since their iconic show ended.
Just like the original series, it will air on A&E.
“Join Willie, Korie, and their growing family as they plan the future of Duck Commander and pass down their legacy,” A&E said in a social media post.
Duck Dynasty spanned 11 seasons from March 2012 to March 2017 and followed the comical daily lives of Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson, his family, and co-workers. The Season 4 premiere of 2013 remains the highest-rated telecast in A&E history, drawing more than 11 million viewers.
Each episode concluded with a heartfelt moment of the family gathered around the dinner table in prayer.
Sadie Robertson Huff, a star on the series, celebrated the news with a social media video.
“Our family is going back home to A&E with #DuckDynasty: The Revival!” she wrote. “It’s wild to think how much has changed but also how much has stayed the same. New kids, new spouses, new businesses, new fun. …ALL the generations and no end to the adventures (and yes, probably some misadventures too)! Our hope is for you to watch again together as a family and pray our show brings families back around the dinner table, giving thanks to God and loving one another. Our prayer as a family is and always has been that we are bright lights for His Glory. We’re SO glad to be back! Stay Tuned!”
A&E has ordered 20 one-hour episodes, according to a news release.
“The updated show will follow Willie and Korie and their growing family of adult children and grandchildren, the next generation of Robertsons living on the family homestead in Louisiana,” the news release said. “With their dynasty expanding into more than just ducks, Willie and Korie will bring their signature humor and family fun as they grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children, and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy.”
In 2023, a faith-based movie about the business’s patriarch and matriarch Phil and Kay Robertson became a box office hit. It was titled The Blind.
