Forrest Frank Encourages Fans to Be Bold in ‘Shining the Light of Jesus’

The Christian artist, whose viral TikTok tracks are as beloved as his radio singles, is encouraging his fans to boldly stand up for Jesus. Forrest Frank has garnered more than 4 million followers across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, driven by his feel-good tracks like Up and Good Day, which are frequently featured as background music in TikTok and other social media videos.

He won Billboard's Top New Christian Artist in 2023 and was nominated for GMA Dove Award New Artist of the Year this year. The Dove Awards will be televised on TBN on Friday, Oct. 4 at 8 Eastern.

Asked what he would tell his tween and teen fans who are hesitant to speak up for Christ, Frank responded, "Start representing Him now."

"You don't know if Jesus is coming back tomorrow. It says He's coming back like a thief in the night," Frank told Crosswalk Headlines. "So don't wait till tomorrow because, in 10 minutes, Jesus could come back."

Too often, he said, Christians delay "shining the light of Jesus until later, and that just means you're stalling."

"Start now," he said.

Frank is a rising artist in CCM but is one of the most popular singers among younger fans. His God Is Good EP soared into the Top 5 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart, while his first full-length album, Child of God, reached No. 1 on the iTunes All Genres chart.

His music has more than 6 million Spotify monthly listeners.

He was popular on social media before his music found a home on Christian radio. He formerly was in a band, Surfaces.

"In the peace and quiet of my home, I just started writing these worship songs, and I felt like God was telling me to put one of them out," he said. "And so I did, and it just took off. The very first video that I filmed of it just went completely viral. And so I took another video of it, and that one went viral. …It wasn't like I was a genius or did anything. I just kind of took a swing, and God completely blessed it, and it was completely beyond me."

His music, he said, is "from my heart, and I love Jesus."

Frank, 29, and his wife welcomed their first child, a son, in 2023. Family, he said, is priceless.

"Being a parent is one of the greatest joys in the entire world," he said. "I find the most delight from my family, so much more than any accolade or any amount of money."
