Benny Hinn Served Divorce Papers for a Second Time

Prosperity preacher Benny Hinn’s wife served him divorce papers for a second time last month. They have been living in separate houses in Florida. According to Church Leaders, Suzanne Hinn and Benny first married in 1979, and she first filed for divorce in 2010. The couple, who had four children together, would later remarry in 2013 at Orlando’s Holy Land Experience in front of an audience of over 1,000 people and officiated by the late pastor Jack Hayford.

Benny would later sell DVDs of the wedding ceremony for $25 each.

As reported by the Trinity Foundation, the couple owns four properties in Florida worth over $5 million. Despite some reports noting that Benny Hinn Ministries (officially known as World Healing Center Church) is worth up to $100 million, it has faced financial difficulties and declining viewership.

After the Hinn’s reconciliation after their first divorce, Benny shared that Suzanne was addicted to prescription medications that made her “behave erratically at times.” He also confessed to being “so caught up with the ministry, I forgot about my family.”

During their first divorce, Benny was photographed holding hands with televangelist Paula White as they left a hotel in Rome, Italy. At the time, Benny shot down claims of him having an affair with White, saying that he was “just friends” with her and their friendship had nothing to do with his first divorce.

After the photos of Hinn and White were published, Charisma Media sued Hinn for violating the morality clause of a book deal. However, Hinn contended there was “no immorality whatsoever.”

In his autobiography, Hinn wrote that he first met Suzanne in 1978 when she was attending Evangel College. Due to a partnership with Charisma Media founder Stephen Strang, Hinn became a prominent televangelist. Meanwhile, Suzanne Hinn had her own California-based ministry called Purifying Fire for a number of years.
