Christian Leaders Sound Off on 'Sinister' Free Abortions at Democratic Convention

Christians and pro-life leaders are condemning Planned Parenthood's placement of a bus offering free abortions and vasectomies at this year's Democratic National Convention. According to Premier Christian News, the bus was stationed away from the Chicago United Center, where the convention is being held, offering these services free of charge from Aug. 19-20.
"Here we come, Chicago! Our mobile health clinic will be in the West Loop with [the Chicago Abortion Fund] & [the Wieners Circle], providing FREE vasectomies & medication abortion," Planned Parenthood Great Rivers announced in a post promoting the event on social media.
The group later confirmed that all available spots were full due to overwhelming demand.
In response, Christian and pro-life advocates denounced the initiative as "demonic," "sinister," and "heart-breaking."
"It is demonic that abortions would be made as convenient as a taco truck at the DNC," Andrew T. Walker, an ethics professor at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
He also argued that the Democratic party is "at war with creation order and reason" and is ultimately rejecting Christ for Moloch.

Intercessors for America, a Christian prayer group, also sounded off on the mobile clinic as an "unprecedented atrocity" and urged believers to pray against what is being seen as a moral decay within the Democratic Party.
In a press release by SBA Pro-Life America, the organization responded to the news at the DNC by labeling it as an "Abortion Convention."
"The Democratic National Abortion Convention puts the extremism of the Democrats on full display. The days when the Democrats insisted abortion should be 'safe, legal and rare' are history," said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. "Today's Democrats under the Harris-Walz ticket are officially the Shout Your Abortion Party."
Per CBN News, Pro-life Democrats are also speaking out against the initiative by learning a diaper drive to support local families.
"Providing free abortions at the DNC is a concerning display of disrespect towards human life and motherhood, as it overlooks the need to provide support and options for a pregnant woman. We expect no less from Planned Parenthood. It's just shameful how low Democrats have sunk," Kristen Day, the executive director of the group Democrats For Life, said in a statement.
This move comes as the DNC has pledged over $8 million to advance abortion rights in the upcoming election cycle, supporting pro-choice candidates and aiming to promote infrastructure nationwide.
