Lola Sheen Reveals How Trusting Jesus Helped Her Overcome Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Lola Sheen, the youngest daughter of Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, continues to speak about her newfound faith in Jesus Christ by sharing how God's power help her in the midst of a panic attack.

"I have been wanting to share how God has transformed my life for so long," said Sheen in a YouTube video titled "God's Strength In Our Weakness" on her "Heavenly Bonded" podcast.

In a recent trip to New York City to promote her mother's new show on Bravo, "Denise Richards & Her Wild Things," Sheen noted how she was overwhelmed due to the busy schedule and spending less time with GodChurch Leaders reported.

"I did not make enough time to pray and to really, really let God fill my mind with his truth," she recalled.

Sheen admitted she felt insecure around so many "people who constantly have eyes on you" and how that insecurity would result in a panic attack.

"I never made enough time for Jesus because I was so busy," Sheen said, later reflecting on how it's "important to make sure that I'm putting God at the beginning of my day and the end of my day."

She also recognized a pattern in her life where she gets anxiety as a result of listening to what the world says instead of God's Word, including the tendency to isolate herself.

"I didn't give Him time to pour into me," Sheen said.

Although she tried to distract herself from the anxiety, without God's truth, Sheen ended up experiencing the "worst panic attack of my life," which she described as "so scary" that she thought that she had died.

She ultimately found comfort by speaking Scripture out loud with her sisters in Christ over the phone.

"The power of God that I experienced was unexplainable," recalled Sheen. "The only way I was okay again was because of Jesus."

She noted that the experience helped her realize God's power amid her anxiety

"His power is made perfect in my weakness," she said.

"I pray you always remember that God is always right by your side, and he will never leave you," Sheen added. "He is bigger than anything you are facing, no matter how big it seems."

As Crosswalk Headlines previously reported, Sheen was baptized earlier this year at a local church as she publicly declared her faith in Jesus Christ.

"When I was in my deepest depression, there was a moment where I realized I hit rock bottom. I felt so lost and hopeless and was just doing my best to make it to the next day. I just accepted my life was going to be like that forever and thought I would never genuinely laugh again. Until, I met not only my Savior but my best friend, Jesus," she wrote in an Instagram post in January.

"I can't really explain it other than it was supernatural, but Jesus met me exactly where I was, and He forever became my sun. I began to trust Jesus with my life when He chose me when no one else did and loved me when I didn't feel worthy of love. He gave me a light when I couldn't find my own and rescued me from the darkness," she added.
