Brothers and Sisters
- Published Jun 24, 2019
I am fortunate to have grown up in a fairly large family where I had a brother and three sisters. I am fond of my family and consider my childhood to have been a blessing. Whether you were raised in a large or small family, a healthy one or one filled with dysfunction, you are now able to choose your family. Not a biological one, of course, but rather one of your own making. You can hand-select people you want to be around you. Scripture tells us, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” (Proverbs 17:17). Whether you have a biological family you can rely upon or not, know that you can create a new ‘family’ you can lean on in good times and bad.
