Don’t Take Yourself Too Seriously

We tend to see things from our own unique vantage point. We come at life from an angle influenced by our parents, our culture, our experiences, and our religious upbringing. But this perspective isn’t necessarily the right perspective. It’s only one perspective, and if we become too attached to it, we’re in for trouble. Before you get too caught up in the way you see things, too attached to one point of view and tempted to judge others, remember the words of Jesus: “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Matthew 6:2)
