I’ve grown up singing choruses about the lovingkindness of God. While I appreciate these songs at any time, they are especially meaningful when times are tough. When I’m not sure what to pray, or what exactly to ask for in my life, I turn to the words of the Psalmist. The Psalmist says it best: “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you” (Psalm 63:3). Notice that David says God’s love is better than life. What a bold thing to say.
