Slow Down. Stop.
- Published Aug 19, 2019
I’m reminded of being slightly agitated when people in housing communities wave the ‘slow down’ sign. In reality, they are doing me a favor in reminding me that it’s necessary to slow down. Not only should I slow down in those situations, but in much of life as well. Perhaps you can relate. How much of life do we miss by being hurried and living in a pressure-cooker world? The Psalmist reminds us, “The days of our lives are seventy years, if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet our boast is only labor and sorrow, for it is soon cut off and we fly away” (Psalm 90:10). Are you mindful of how you are spending your time? Do you value each day as a gift from God?
