Never Alone

Luke 22:41-44:  "… and He (Christ) knelt down and began to pray, saying, "Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Thine be done."  ... Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.  And being in agony He was praying fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood" (NASB).

There are times in our lives when rejoicing flows freely and we get a taste of heaven's joy.  Other times, we identify with Christ the most when we are "sweating blood in the garden".  The same children who bring us great joy cause us to cry, "Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help" (Psalm 22:11).  God promises that all things will work out for His glory.  When we go to Him in prayer, we can remember this assurance.  Whether you are walking through a time of jubilance or on your knees in tears, remember Christ, in human flesh, has been there.  He experienced the same pain and hears your cries.  Know that you are not alone and that God hears you.

God is never far, and He provides comfort and strength through any trial.  Approach His throne with a blessed assurance of His love and mercy.
