Surrender Will Lead You to the Will of God
“If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of Myself.” - John 7:17
There is an overriding principle taught in Scripture that will help us know and prove the will of God. It is the principle of surrender.
Many of us are absolutely afraid to pray, “Here I am. I am taking my hands off of my rights to my life…my desire to be married, have a family, get a good job. I give it all to You.” We don’t come to God and say, “Lord, show me Your will, then I will make up my mind whether to do it or not.” You’ll never know God’s will that way.
Is there anything you would not do if you knew Jesus wanted you to do it? Is there any place you would not go if you knew Jesus wanted you to go? Is there anything you would not say if you knew Jesus wanted you to say it? Is there anything you would not be if you knew Jesus wanted you to be it? Is there anything you would not give if you knew Jesus wanted you to give it?
