The Psalmist encourages us, repeatedly, to be quiet. “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Notice that he doesn’t encourage us to rush around and in our hurried state to notice God’s majesty around us. No, he advises us to slow down and in fact, be still. In the quietness of the morning, before you busy yourself with the tasks of the day, reflect on the movement of God in your life. Reflect on his glory, how majesty, and on what He may be saying to you in your life’s circumstances.
