We live in a ‘dog eat dog world’ where we strive to win at all costs. This is not the way of the wise or the way that God wants us to live. We are to be generous with those around us, taking special care for the poor and vulnerable. “Don’t be greedy, merciless and cruel as wolves, tearing into the poor and feasting on them, shredding the needy to pieces only to discard them” (Proverbs 30:14). Who are those in your world that need mercy? What do you have to offer them? Consider giving more of yourself and resources to those in need, thereby being the hand of God in their lives.
