Financial Fidelity

There are many ways to cheat on your mate, and too often we overlook a common infidelity that has disastrous repercussions—financial infidelity. Financial infidelity involves keeping financial secrets, compulsive spending and risk-taking. It typically involves outright deception and denial when caught—not unlike other forms of infidelity. It can involve pointing the finger at your mate, all the while knowing you are guilty of wrongdoing. Scripture says, “Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest” (Proverbs 16:8). Where do you stand in regards to financial faithfulness? Are you honest in all of your financial concerns? This is the only way to godliness and relational health.
