Hands-on Faith for Families– week of March 10, 2014
Theme: Good Stewardship
Good Stewardship of Our Money and Possessions
Play: Ask family members to list or draw 10 items they would want if they were going to be stranded with a handful of people on a deserted island. Five of the items must be shared with the other castaways. Compare and discuss your lists.
Talk: A person’s basic physical needs are food, clothing and shelter. Often God gives us more than we need. Yet no matter how much or how little we have, we should remember that everything belongs to God (Colossians 1:16). He entrusts us with money and possessions to use in ways that honor Him. For example, we can share our toys with those who come to our house to play or give money to places that take care of the poor. How can you bless God through at least one of your possessions today?
Pray: Thank God for meeting all your needs.
