That’s right! The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). That simply means to keep praying. It means to keep the lines of communication open at all times with God. A good way to look at it is that it’s a lifestyle. You can pray while you’re getting ready in the morning, driving on your way to work, on a morning or afternoon jog, washing dishes, or sweeping the kitchen floor (my personal favorite). You can pray for others when you see them acting ugly or rude in a public place. And you can pray for yourself when you feel like you’re about to go there! Gotcha! The point is that whatever you do, just don’t stop praying.
Prayer is a powerful thing! It’s a great way to connect and fellowship with God. It’s an amazing opportunity to intercede for others. And it’s also a great weapon used against our enemy, Satan. So no matter how you see it, just keep doing it.
Don’t stop. Pray about everything. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand…” This is an amazing Scripture. It’s comforting to know. Better to experience! So pray…
If you’re having problems, pray.
If you need direction, pray.
If you need help, pray.
If you’re afraid, pray.
If you have financial problems, pray.
If you’re sick, pray.
If you’re going on a trip, pray.
If you’re having job or ministry issues, pray.
If you’re having relationship issues, pray.
If your child is acting up, KEEP praying. (I had to add that extra nugget…especially for teenagers)
If you want a deeper relationship with God, pray.
The point here is DON’T STOP PRAYING. It’s your lifeline. God knows exactly where you are sis, so pray. He wants to hear about it, whether it’s good or bad. He wants the fellowship and to help you, so that you can see His supernatural power work in your life. He can handle our problems, give us direction, help us in our time of need, deliver us from all of our fears, conquer financial problems, heal us if He chooses, and protect us on a trip. He can help us conquer job or ministry issues, help us with any relationship issues, keep us when our kids are acting up, and draw us closer to Him…when we pray and ask Him.
*The key is prayer. So again, pray without ceasing. Don’t stop. And remember, it’s a lifestyle. He’s there for you, sis!
Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
