Hands-on Faith for Families – week of December 4, 2017
Theme: Remember God’s Blessings
Strength in Weakness
Scripture: But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Play: Choose a partner and thumb wrestle to see who is the strongest.
Talk: God gives us strength and wants us to recognize that it comes from Him. He also wants us to know that when we’re weak, we can ask for His help (2 Corinthians 12:9). When we admit to God that we need Him, He will help us in our weaknesses. God wants us to rely on Him in everything we do, and our weaknesses can be a good reminder of our need for Him. What weaknesses can God help you with?
Pray: Pray that you would learn to rely on God every day, and give thanks for your weaknesses because they allow you to experience His strength.
