On Tuesday, worship leaders brought Jesus to the White House through praise and worship songs.
In videos posted online, several prominent Christian artists and worship leaders are seen gathered in the White House singing popular worship songs like “What a Beautiful Name,” and “How Great Is Our God.”
In one video clip posted to Twitter, worship leader and recording artist Tauren Wells is seen leading the group in worship as they all sang “What a Beautiful Name.”
Wells captioned the video saying, “What a privilege to declare the name of Jesus in worship and in prayer today at the White House. I was challenged, informed, convicted, & inspired at the #faithbriefing w/ many peers in the CCM industry. The church has a great opportunity to rise with grace & truth in this hour.”

Contemporary Christian band Citizen Way was also present at the Faith Briefing, which according to Faithwire, aimed to update Faith leaders on faith-based initiatives that have been enacted under the Trump administration.
The band posted a video to Instagram of the group singing “How Great Is Our God,” and captioned it, “#faithbriefing Lifting up the name of our savior Jesus at the @whitehouse with so many key figures in our @ccmmag family - our servant leaders in faith based initiatives expressed the need for us to support their causes around the nation (they are biblically based causes) and the need for us to be vocal about the fact that our only hope for our salvation, our world, our country is in our savior Jesus (they encouraged us to basically keep doing what we’re doing as well haha). Sing with us! Thank you pastor @paulamichellewhite and @jonathancainmusic for your service to our president @realdonaldtrump as he leads our nation. #jesussavesbro”
Another Christian artist who posted about his experience at the White House was Matt Hammitt. Hammitt posted a photo to his Instagram account writing, “I witnessed a truly special moment today as our Christian music community shared a time of worship and prayer in the White House. #faithbriefing”
Leaders were also seen praying for the nation together.
According to Faithwire, the event appeared to have been organized by the chair of President Trump’s faith advisory board, megachurch pastor, Paula White.
White posted about the event on Instagram writing, “What an amazing day at The White House ... closed out with a time of worship and prayer! I wish everyone would come up and experience this! #realnews”
