Your Life is a Mirror – Beloved Women – December 16, 2019
READ
“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Ephesians 5:1-2 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
No one can successfully live in isolation. No matter how much we may believe that seclusion is important, we will still find that human contact is also necessary. Our human interactions come with certain inferences and expectations. People are always watching us: what we say, do, and how we live. When this happens, the question we should ask ourselves is: ‘What do people see when they see me?’
Do they see a woman who is completely sold out to Christ? Do they see us reflecting Christ in our words or actions? This doesn’t mean we will not fall or falter, not at all. It means that the way we live matters. It means that our lives must reflect our sonship as children of God.
We should exude love. A love that is patient and kind, a love that doesn’t envy or gossip, a love that celebrates others, and cares for their needs. We should strive to do the right thing, even when its hard, and seek to live at peace with all.
PRAY
Lord, please teach me to live as You do. Let my life reflect You in all I do. Let me be a living example of Your sacrificial love. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
