Faith to Share Your Story - Beloved Women - January 31, 2020
READ: “Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.” (Exodus 4:12 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Were you ever required to give a speech in front of a group of people? A few years back, a pastor asked me to speak at a women’s conference. Although I felt scared and unqualified to talk about God’s word, I prayed and followed through with the commitment.
In our verse today, we find Moses struggling with the same issue. God wants him to speak to the Pharaoh of Egypt to plead on behalf of the Israelites. Many experts believe that Moses had a speech impediment. He pleaded with God to send someone else. But, in the end, Moses went, and the Israelites received their freedom.
Sharing the Gospel through our stories can feel very scary for most of us. But, God assures us that He will go with us and teach us the words He wants us to share with others. God provided Moses with the words to convince Pharaoh, and He will give you the words you need today. The right words are only a prayer away.
PRAY: Dearest Heavenly Father. Please grant me Your strength to share with others around me. Please teach me Your ways and Your words to use. Thank You for always standing by my side in all circumstances. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
