Hope in Christ Alone - Beloved Women - March 27, 2020
READ: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Life can hit us with difficult challenges to face; an unwanted diagnosis, death of a loved one, loss. Still, we have the gift of the Holy Spirit that lives in this who place their faith in Jesus.
In Romans 15, the Apostle Paul prays that believers in Rome will be filled with hope and it is a prayer that believed today can cling to as well.
It is a reminder to us that no matter the circumstances that we find ourselves, we can trust God. Through the Holy Spirit at work in our hearts, we can always abound in hope. In Christ, we are never without hope. He is our sure foundation and we know that this life is temporary and that no matter the circumstance or how we may feel Jesus will work it out for His glory. He will not leave us to weather the storm alone. He promises us that joy will come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). May we trust Him and His Word and lean into the Holy Spirit that is speaking joy, peace, and hope into our hearts.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, may my hope be found in You alone. Thank You for Your love, joy, peace, and true hope in my life. Help me, Jesus, to seek you every day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
